Knowledge Transfer Partnership between the Knowledge Media Institute, The Open University and the Milton Keynes City Discovery Centre

Milton Keynes City Discovery Centre (MKCDC) is an internationally leading organisation in the delivery of stimulating and accessible learning in urban geography. The Knowledge Media Institute (KMi) is an interdisciplinary research centre with extensive experience in developing and deploying new technologies to support learning and work.

Through this Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP), MKCDC aims to develop a new generation geography e-learning product that will scaffold students in navigating the available educational assets, and support teachers in guiding and monitoring learner activity.

You will work closely with staff from KMi and MKCDC on a range of activities related to the development of this product including: elicitation of requirements, analysis of MKCDC’s assets, evaluation of prototypes, product demonstration and training.

You will also be given training to complete NVQ level four in Project Management and be given the opportunity to register for a higher degree.

You should have a recent degree in a subject related to education and technology of level 2:1 or above.

Appointment will be made on a starting salary of £18,000 – £20,000, plus a training/development budget of £3,500.
