Academy Internet competes for talent by sponsoring the University of Brighton's "Best Digital Media Potential " Prize

Academy Internet knows that well trained staff are the company's most valuable asset. As part of its own efforts to grow its own internet marketing talent, Academy Internet is sponsoring the "Best Digital Media Potential" prize which is awarded to the most promising 2nd year BSc Digital Media Development student at the University of Brighton. The prize is a paid two month work placement during 2005/06..

The winner will benefit from two months work experience at one of Brighton's fastest growing companies - providing a great opportunity for a graduate hoping to gain a foothold in the city's competitive media sector. "On the job" coaching and real project experience allows for quick, relevant learning and rapid improvements in skills whilst providing Academy Internet with access to the most talented local people.

Academy Internet's Development Director Jason Woodford explains the rationale behind this investment, "The recruitment and retention of quality people is our number one priority - get the people right and the satisfied customers, business and profit will follow. We're growing quickly and need well trained professionals to keep our customers happy. There is no Apprentice scheme for internet marketers so we started one ourselves with three trainees developing through the one year programme right now. Competition for talent is fierce and this work placement prize allows us to build relationships with the best students before they come to the jobs market."

The winner will be announced by Jason Woodford on the 29th July 2005.

For interviews, commentary and further information, please call Jason Woodford on 01273 733433 or email jason.woodford@academyinternet.com.
